Hello there,I don’t know about you but male cards are not my favorite “make”.
I struggle to come up with anything that I love, some I like and some I think are OK,but love ?.
Anyway today I want to share a male card that I do really like (bordering on love ).
The background started out as an experiment and seemed to work really well.
Firstly I folded several layers of tin foil into a square and embossed it in my die cutting machine.
Next tan boot polish was smeared over the embossing, applying more in some areas.
finally black pigment ink was applied with a piece of scrap cloth , embossing powder poured over and tipped off ,then heated to emboss.
The finished background was attached to a card-blank and decorated using die cut cogs, chalkboard stickers and vintage metal buttons.
I hope you like the finished results as much as I do
I think the overall effect is of rusty metal
Beautiful grungy card xx
