Hello again, or welcome if you are a first time visitor.
As some of you may know I have recently started creating some mixed media projects. I love the dimension and texture I can create with the different mediums.
My hubby is building a shed/workshop and to cut a long story short he had quite a few surplus cedar shingles from the roofing materials.
I love the texture and sheen of the wood so he let me keep a surprising number of the rejected and spare shingles. At this point I should point out that the joint craft room is full to busting with materials for future projects. I was surprised and delighted that I could keep (hoard) so many.
Anyway I’m sure you are wondering what I did with them. The first one I added lots of texture and paint effects along with some found objects from the beach.
The second I used a minimum of products and combined found objects from the building site that is currently our garden.
I am lucky that this second cedar shingle project has been featured in The Mixed Up Mag,a digital mixed media magazine which is absolutely stunning
If you fancy a sneak peek pop over to the facebook page for some previews
So here is a sneak peek of the project
I hope you like both projects ,which is your favorite ?
Happy New Year to you and yours……… Mags x
