Exciting Mixed Up Mag news

Hello, hope you are having a great day ?

I’ve got some very exciting news to share ,I have been chosen to be part of the Mixed Up Mag blog/DT .

The website will hopefully go live at the beginning of April so watch this space for the link. Whilst you wait you can always pop across to the Facebook page Here.I’ll be posting tutorials about once a month on the website/blog and these will be exclusive to Mixed up Mag. I might just give you a sneaky peek nearer the time so pop back soon.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the magazine it is a fabulous digital publication featuring mixed media work. It has lots of interactive features and tutorials as well as links to artists blogs etc. subscribed to the mag from day one so I can say I loved it even before I was lucky enough to be chosen for the team. Here is the link you need to buy the mag.

Now that I’ve told you my very exciting news I can also share a quick project I created a week or so ago. I am a bit of a hoarder (find me a crafter who isn’t ) and I had a small mint tin which I had squirreled away for a memory tin project. My mum has just lent me some old family photos so I used one for this project.P1030893

After sanding the tin to reveal the unpainted surface in some areas I used vintage sheet music and Decoart Crackle Glaze on the lid ,along with a heart cut from painted cardstock. Having lined the inside with a strip of ribbon and glued in the vintage photo I added tissue and gauze to the base. From my vast stash of vintage and random trinkets I chose a pocket watch face and paper flowers along with a metal key charm and porcelain heart charm

I love the finished piece and it sits proudly on my mantle piece along with  antique, vintage and treen objects.

Thank you for stopping by any any comments you wish to leave.

  1. Hello !
I write an article for the summer special issue of the magazine Passion Scrapbooking, on the theme of mini-albums with raw material.
I would like to show that it is possible to create albums with some paper, but not only, by presenting creations realized with cork, plexiglass, fabric…
You would accept that one (or several if you want) image (s) of your mini-album with the wood of ice creams (presented here: is published in it ?
Your name or pen name would be mentioned, of course, and the address of your blog indicated in the address book of the magazine.
Knowing that I have to end this article for Thursday, it would be kind to answer me, even if it is not, as soon as possible.
And if you accept, by sending me one or several good quality photo(s) of your album, it would be completed ! 😉
    Best Regards,
    Elise AMANN
